Nutrition Consultant/ Team Leader - Just Say Yes to Fruits and Vegetables

Full time position responsible for administrative and nutrition oversight of  Food Stamp Nutrition Education Program conducted by three (3) Regional Field Nutritionists covering counties served by the Food Bank of Northeastern NY and the Foodbank of Central NY.  Qualifications:  Registered Dietitian with at least 2 years experience in Public Health Nutrition.  Strong computer skills, travel required.  Annual Salary starting at $50,000; no benefits provided, you are responsible for the payment of Federal and State taxes;  Submit resume to Janis Graziano, Just Say Yes to Fruits and Vegetables, PO Box 40-63, Albany, NY 12204; or fax (518) 408-0431; or email jxg14@health.state.ny.us.  Regional Team Leader position is a full time (37.5 hrs per week) consultant position. Extensive field work will include conducting site visits, collaboration and marketing the program, coordinating nutrition education initiatives and nutrition oversight of regional activities.

Duties to include:

• Administrative and nutrition oversight of regional JSY field Nutritionists
• Assist in the development of grant initiatives and strategic planning
• Interview, orient, and train new regional staff
• Quality assurance
• Monitor nutrition education sessions
• JSY mobile vehicle regional scheduling
• Community collaboration
• Marketing the JSY program to potential community partners
• Coordinate and facilitate Advisory Committee meetings
• Coordinate nutrition education initiatives
• Assist field Nutritionists at large community events
• Participate in statewide meetings
• Other administrative duties as needed
